Senior Patrol Leader

  • Attends a minimum of 70% of all troop meetings, PLCs, campouts, service projects
  • Preside at all troop meetings, events, activities and the annual program planning conference
  • Select ASPLs with the advice and counsel of the Scoutmaster
  • Open and Close Campfires, Courts of Honor, New Scout Inductions and other ceremonies
  • Plan and Lead the Patrol Leaders’ Council meeting
  • Plan and Lead Troop Meetings
  • Plan and Lead the weekly Scoutmaster’s SPL meeting with the SM and ASPLs
  • Plan and Lead the Annual Program Planning Conference
  • Review Campout and Activity plans with the Scoutmaster, ASPLs, and Scout Coordinator
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to Troop Officers
  • Lead the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST)
  • Participate in Crossovers for new Scouts
  • Inform the Scoutmaster if you are not going to make an event and find a replacement
  • Set a Good Example
  • Wear the Scout uniform correctly
  • Live by the Scout Oath and Law
  • Show and help develop Scout spirit
