- Attend a minimum of 70% of all troop meetings, PLCs, campouts, service projects
- Work with the Scoutmaster to ensure that troop meeting, outing and service project participation records are up to date
- Act as recording secretary for Patrol Leaders’ Council meetings, in particular, noting action items and who is responsible for the action. Based on the discussions, prepare the final Troop meeting plans or agendas and distribute to the Patrol Leaders. Post PLC minutes on Troop’s web site.
- Collect and record permission slips and activity/outing payments. Transfer all permission slips and activity and payments to the activity organizer.
- Act as a scheduler for Boards of Review
- Write letters on behalf of the Troop — letters of inquiry, thank you letters to all who assist the Troop in any way, invitations to special guests to Troop events and to Webelos who visit the Troop. Maintain a correspondence file of all such documents.
- Serve as a member of the Patrol Leaders’ Council
- Provide a TO Report to the SPL at each PLC either oral if you attend or written if you are not there
- Inform the SPL if you are not going to make an event and find a replacement
- Set a Good Example
- Wear the Scout uniform correctly
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Show and help develop Scout spirit
