Junior Assistant Scoutmaster

  • Attend a minimum of 50% of all troop meetings, PLCs, campouts, service projects
  • Function as an Assistant Scoutmaster (except for leadership responsibilities reserved for adults 18 years of age or older).
  • Accomplish any duties assigned by the Scoutmaster
  • Lead “15 Minute Leadership Training” before Troop Meetings
  • Review campout and activity plans with the Scoutmaster
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to junior leaders as needed
  • Guide and direct Scout activities through the SPL
  • Provide Council to the PLC
  • Set the example of leadership in the Troop
  • Assists the Scoutmaster with Youth  Leader Training
  • Serve as a member of the Patrol Leaders’ Council
  • Provide a TO Report to the SPL at each PLC either oral if you attend or written if you are not there
  • Inform the SPL if you are not going to make an event and find a replacement
  • Set a Good Example
  • Wear the Scout uniform correctly
  • Live by the Scout Oath and Law
  • Show and help develop Scout spirit
