- Attend a minimum of 50% of all troop meetings, PLCs, campouts, service projects
- Help the Patrol Leader plan and steer patrol meetings and activities
- Help keep patrol members informed
- Help the patrol get ready for all troop activities
- Represent his patrol at Patrol Leaders’ Council meetings when the Patrol Leader cannot attend
- Lends a hand controlling the patrol and building patrol spirit
- Serve as a member of the Patrol Leaders’ Council
- Provide a TO Report to the SPL at each PLC either oral if you attend or written if you are not there
- Inform the SPL if you are not going to make an event and find a replacement
- Set a Good Example
- Wear the Scout uniform correctly
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Show and help develop Scout spirit
Note: The Assistant Patrol Leader position does not count as a leadership position for Rank Advancement or Scout leadership positions
