Troop 125 seeks opportunities for Scouts to help our community and meet rank advancement service hour requirements. In addition to the activities and needs of our Troop, there is no shortage of need for assistance around the community.
Requests are regularly made of the troop from organizations in our community. A few recent examples where the troop has provided assistance include service at a local soup kitchen, trail clean-up at our local Scout camp, and parking assistance at the Rochester Art & Apples Festival. This is in addition to regular activities like collections for Scouting For Food, participating in Wreaths Across America to honor our veterans and marching in local area Memorial Day and Christmas parades.
Scouts should check with a Scoutmaster for any service hours that they expect to get credit toward rank advancement or whenever they are representing the troop and the Boy Scouts.
