Of course, you need to encourage your son to actively participate and you help ensure he gets to/from activities safely and on schedule. As a Boy Scout, he should to take responsibility to know his schedule. There are great events/outings with parents and families specifically invited, such as the Caberfae ski Trip and the Troop Turkey Feast. There are a few required roles for T125 scout parents plus an assortment of roles that can have varying levels of commitment. Parent participation is an essential part of continuing a strong scouting program for your son as you bring new ideas and energy and can join the fun. Troop 125 is always looking for parents to become Assistant Scoutmasters or Committee members. If you haven’t already noticed, T125 is fortunate that many parents are still active contributors even though their son is now a T125 alumnus.
