Philmont Training Still On but Optional

Scouts and Parents,

I know that we are reading a lot about the changing events regarding COVID-19.  After reviewing BSA guidelines and recommendations, we will continue to train at the Stairs of Bloomer tonight.  Till further notice, all Philmont training and hikes are optional.  If someone is has been sick they are NOT to attend.  I understand there's a varying level of comfort of the situations we are in.  I also understand what each of our personal situation with families varies.  There is no judgment of a person that decides to climb stairs or does not.

Charlie Borus Eagle Scout #157

Congratulations to Charlie Borus, Troop 125's newest Eagle Scout!  Charlie designed and constructed play structures for dogs to be installed in the City of Utica's brand new dog park.  His work included two up-and-down stairways, two hurdles, two sets of weave poles and three benches.  The project cost $495.00, involved 112  man hours and required Charlie to seek approval from Utica's DDA and the Utica City Council.  Charlie's accomplishment also comes with a second awesome recognition.  Charlie and his dad Mike, are the first father AND son to both earn Eagle Scout inside Troop 125!
