Save the Date - Troop Picnic - Monday, August 26th

Dear Scouts & Families - 

Our annual end of summer picnic is scheduled for Monday, August 26th.    

The picnic will be at Bear Creek Park (Oakland Township) starting at 6:00 PM.  

As in years past, the Troop will provide the main course.  Families should plan to bring a dish to pass.  Sign-up Genius will go up in early August.

If you have friends who might be interested in joining the Troop, please feel free to invite them to join us at the picnic.

Spring Court of Honor - Sunday, May 5th

Dear Troop 125 Scouts and Families -

It's spring, so that means it's time for the Troop 125 Spring Court of Honor!  

Courts of honor are special events within the troop that allow scouts and leaders to be recognized for their hard work and achievements.  

At this court of honor we will recognize all scouts who have rank advancements and merit badges completed since the fall court of honor.  

In addition, we will be recognizing R.J. Beckeman and Ben Gugel for achieving Eagle rank.

Eagle Court of Honor - October 28th @ 2:00 PM

Dear Scouts & Parents 

You are cordially invited to attend the Troop 125 Fall Eagle Court of Honor ceremony. 

Luke Hannenberg (Eagle #150) is being recognized for earning Eagle rank.    

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 28th at 2:00 PM at Oak Arbor Church.

Refreshments to be served after the ceremony.  

@Scouts - Please arrive at 1:30 to assist with setup.  Dress code is full uniform, including your Merit Badge or OA sashes.

Troop Committee Meeting Tonight

The Troop Committee is in need of parent volunteers in multiple sub-committees, so if you can spare a few hours of your time throughout the scout year to help coordinate an event or fundraiser, participate in a Board of Review, or help develop a new website for the Troop please attend this evening and learn about the ways you can get involved to help the Troop!

The Troop Committee meets the first Monday of each month at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church. 

Our next meeting is Monday, October 1st. 

The meeting begins at 7:00 PM sharp, and usually runs until 8:30 PM. 

Please consider this an open invitation to all parents to become active participants in the Committee.

Are you interested in going on a Colorado High Adventure Ski Trip this winter?  If no, you can stop reading this note.  If you are interested please keep reading to learn more about the trip details and the steps you need to take to reserve a spot.  

If enough people are interested in the trip we will form a crew and finalize plans for the trip during September.

2018 Northern Tier Crews - All Crew Kickoff Meeting - March 27 @ 7:00 PM

Attention All 2018 Northern Tier Crews & Advisors (if you're not going to N-Tier this summer you can ignore this message) 

July will be here in the blink of an eye….We need to start the planning & preparation for our trip now. 

Kickoff meeting for all crew members (Scouts & Advisors) is next Tuesday, March 27th, 7:00-7:30 PM at the Community House before the Troop Meeting.  

The purpose of the meeting is to get crews organized and begin the journey to Northern Tier this summer.      

Turkey feast Campout


This weekend is the turkey feast campout, be sure to build all rockets. Also be pre-pared for the weather. On Saturday it looks to be cold and rainy, and on Sunday it look cold.

Turkey Feast Campout

Dear all rocket launchers and turkey eaters,

 Coming up on November 17-19 is our annual Turkey Feast and Rocket campout.

Please add this event to your calendars now. Permission slip and a packing list will be distributed soon.  Please be prepared to turn in permission slips at the October 24th troop meeting.

Rocket kits will be provided by the troop, and will be distributed when your permission slip is turned in.

Please keep in mind that assembling a rocket takes a long time, so please be prepared!
